Canaldocente comes from an innovative project of the University Pablo de Olavide "Neural Network Learning" adaptation of educational methodologies to each profile of students in synergy with the " Valortia " certification project personal productivity.
Neural Network Learning is a I+D Project initiated by Manuel Chaves in 2008. He was selected by EBTIC , the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of the Junta de AndalucĂa and CITIC, Pioneering projectin Information Technology and Innovation program applied to the learning process . He was selected two years ago as a Teaching Innovation Project at the University Pablo de Olavide. He received the award Spin -Off venture in 2015 at the Pablo de Olavide .
Valortia: The project VALORTIA (Evaluation and certification of ICT skills acquired) is an interactive platform for Cloud Computing for quantified measurement and certification of personal productivity software professional developers. To achieve this project , he had the intense and broad participation of the research group IWT2 University of Seville and experts in the analysis of the skills associated with productivity. From the financial point of view , the CDTI project opted for supporting him financially.
This program was created due to the problems identified for monitoring technical subjects , for a number of reasons that purport to be saved or corrected through the application of new technologies. These would be the main causes:
- Lack of motivation
- The teacher does not know if their students are learning propertly.
- They see the professional application of subjects.
- Level differences.
- Lack of base.
- They forget the concepts.
- Lack of prior preparation classes.
The main objective is that the student has a tutor matched to their profile at any time of learning and the teacher can know live if students are understanding the subject content , comprising facilitating participation in class through new technologies. However there are other specific objectives:
- The teacher can detect which part of each topic students have more difficulties
- What concepts need more emphasis throughout the units.
- Knowing the possible causes for the lack of interest in the subject.
- Keep track of each student and help them to focus on the subject.
- Involve students in problem solving and practical applications of the subject.
